Why I built myformula
I spent $12,000 building a system to find the best shampoo for me. Now it can help you too.
I built myformula because buying hair products had become a strange kind of lottery. The shelves were full of confidence, but the ingredient lists were the only part that actually mattered.
So I started turning those ingredient lists into structured data. I wanted a system that could reason from a real hair profile instead of guessing from brand promises, social proof, or whatever happened to be on promotion that week.
The first version was just for me. Then the library kept growing, the matching logic got sharper, and it became obvious that the useful thing was not another product recommendation. The useful thing was an independent way to compare formulas.
myformula is my attempt to make that independence feel practical: take a short quiz, get a match, and understand why the match fits.
